Took place in São Paulo, Brazil, Latin America’s largest indoor nautical event, 2016 São Paulo Boat Show. The numbers of the event are impressive, with 35,000 m², 100 exhibitors and 41,000 visitors.
Despite the economical crisis Brazil is facing, the event was a success, with lots of boats sold at the fair.
The French company with know-how carved by its 130 years of history brought great models for the fair. The Monte Carlo MC5 is a partnership of Beneteau and Monte Carlo Yachts. MC5 was awarded the european powerboat of the year in 2014, this boat combines power and elegance.
Cimitarra is local company founded in 1999, much younger than its competitors, but capable of building a jowel like this:
Intermarine Yachts took to the fair the models 42, 48 Offshore, 60 e 66. Intermarine 60 has a flybridge with a hardtop, it has a top speed of 33 knots and cruise speed of 28 knots. Its sound system can be controlled by an iPad and it has 3 luxurious suites (a total of 6 cabins).
The company from Florianopolis, Brazil, brought to the fair a wide range of boats. The Schaefer 560 has a big interior space comparing to boats with the same size, its master cabin has 4,9 meters of width. During the day it fits 15 passengers, but there are cabins for 6 persons. The boat has a flybridge with a second helm station with two displays, ice box, wet bar and coffee table. Its saloon is equipped with 3D LED TV, with home theater, a great sound system and air conditioning
Schaefer also presented smaller boats like Phantom 400, which is the only of its category with 2 master cabins:
Azimut 70 was the big star of the show, its exterior styling and concept is a project of Stefano Righini and its interior design by Carlo Galeazzi. It has 70 feet (21.62 meters)
Its maximum speed is 33 knots and top cruise speed of 27 knots. The yacht has 4 cabins for up to 8 guests and 1 cabin for 2 crew members, internal and external wheelhouse, Giorgio Armani furniture, a superb flybridge and bathing platform.
Azimut 70’s brother it’s not so big, but almost as cool as its big brother. It has a maximum speed of 32 kn and cruise speed of 28 kn. This boat has 3 cabins for guests and 1 for the crew.
The company has a line with a funny name, Focker. It has a wide range of boats, from smaller boats like Focker 210:
But also bigger boats like 400 Grand Coupé.
With 400 Grand Coupé you can give a party for up to 14 people, but there cabins for just 4. It has a bar with LED lights, a sporty dashboard and anti-mold upholstery. 400 Grand Coupé is available in 3 colors, black, white and light brown.
In the fair there were also kayaks, boats for fishing and all types of jet skis, with prices starting at $ 12,000. At São Paulo Boat Show you could see a little bit of the history of navigation:
At the event there weren’t just boats, but also cars and a helicopter. One of the atractions was this Lamborghini Huracán:
And this stylish Bentley
São Paulo is known for having the highest number of helicopter in the world. This Helibra helicopter is on the market for “just” $ 5,000,000.
